Our Performance

The Anaesthetics Directorate is extremely proud of its record, and we continue to push the envelope in terms of quality and standards. This dedication to patient care is reflected in our strong and consistent number of outpatient referrals, all of whom are seen by directorate staff within just four weeks – and the majority within two. We offer around 80 clinics per month in the pain service, with an average attendance rate of just under 7, to ensure our patients can enjoy the benefit of care quickly, easily and conveniently.

In the pain service we are consistently keeping our DNA rate towards 10%, and maintaining a healthy new to follow-up outpatient ratio, we are a dynamic directorate always looking for room for improvement and means to achieve that. Committed to LDP delivery, and with a pain service daycase rate of 100%, we remain a directorate aimed squarely at constantly working to further improve and innovate.

As part of our performance review process we undertake an annual team 360 feedback and review.  Surgical and nursing colleagues are requested to rate certain aspects of our performance on a scale of 1=poor to 5=excellent.  The directorate 360 feedback results for 2010 are below confirming our commitment to excellence in team working and service delivery.
